I also serve Maleny and the Hinterlands, as well as families in Gympie. If you’re unsure whether I service your location, feel free to reach out and ask.
-
I am a passionate advocate for informed choice, continuity of care, and supporting physiological birth, and homebirth. I believe women are the experts of their own bodies, each with a unique way of growing, birthing, and mothering their babies.
The relationship I build with a woman is foundational. Through personalised, evidence-based, woman-centred care, it is my honour to support women to trust themselves and feel confident, nurtured, and well held during this profound transformation. How women feel during birth matters. How babies are born matters. When birth is well supported, families and communities thrive.

You can request an initial consultation via the Contact page on my website. I’ll be in touch to discuss next steps and see whether my care aligns with your needs.
Homebirth & Care Options
-
No. I work collaboratively with experienced midwifery colleagues to ensure a qualified second midwife attends your birth. This is included as part of my homebirth care.
-
I have been practising as a midwife since 1999, with a dedicated focus on attending homebirths since 2019. This experience allows me to offer calm, steady, and responsive care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
-
If a transfer becomes necessary, I will accompany you to hospital to provide continuity, advocacy, and emotional support, helping to ensure a smooth transition.
-
I do not currently hold hospital visiting rights. My role in hospital settings is to support you through advocacy, presence, and continuity of care.
Birth Preferences & Special Considerations
-
I support women considering a homebirth VBAC when it aligns with safe practice and individual health considerations. We take time to explore your history, needs, and expectations so you can make an informed decision.
-
Breech birth requires careful consideration and planning. I’m happy to have an open conversation about your individual circumstances so you can explore your options with clarity and support.
Practical Considerations
-
I bring essential medical equipment, including oxygen, resuscitation equipment, and emergency supplies. You’ll be asked to prepare practical items such as towels, waterproof sheets, and comfort items. A detailed checklist is provided during pregnancy visits.
-
If you choose to labour and/or birth in water, I supply a birth pool and deliver it to your home around 36 weeks. I also provide guidance on set-up and use.
Additional Services
-
Alongside midwifery care, I offer birth preparation support, Blessing Way ceremonies, internal pelvic release work, and Closing the Bones ceremonies. These services gently support physical, emotional, and energetic wellbeing throughout the childbearing journey.
Costs & Rebates
-
Fees vary depending on the care you require and your Medicare Safety Net status. Costs and payment options are discussed clearly during our initial consultation.
-
Yes. Pregnancy and postpartum care currently attract Medicare rebates. I can explain what is covered and support you with the rebate process.
